CIBC partners with Simcoe Community Services to provide parental relief!
Simcoe Community Services Foundation is pleased to be the recipient of the fundraising efforts of CIBC Wood Gundy as well as local branches of CIBC and their commercial and retail banking divisions.
During the past year, Simcoe Community Services Foundation had as its annual campaign goal, the task of raising $47,000 for parent relief for families who have a child with an intellectual disability. Families benefiting live in Bradford, Innisfil, Alcona and Barrie. Ron Ptasiuk, Vice President and Branch Manager of CIBC Wood Gundy, as well as Trustee of the Simcoe Community Services Foundation, is committed to the ongoing support of the parent relief initiative. “All parents need a break from their kids once in a while. I can’t even imagine how stressful caring for a child who has health, developmental and possibly even behavioural issues could be on a full-time basis. My hats are off to these families and CIBC is committed to supporting parental relief.” said Ptasiuk at a recent cheque presentation of $20,000.
A portion of the funds were raised at a golf tournament held at the Barrie Country Club on August 8th. Ptasiuk applauded the efforts of not only the volunteers but also the business partners that helped to make this event such a success.
