The Resource Centre is operated by Resource participants in partnership with Simcoe Community Services.  The primary focus is to coordinate community resources and agency outreach to help individuals with intellectual disabilities connect with their community.  Two community support staff are available to facilitate these connections.  The centre is a place where people can meet to exchange support, access information, plan activities and thereby further encourage participants’ interdependence in the community.  The Resource Centre is located at 129 Ferris Lane.   The Resource Centre is available to individuals on a “drop-in” basis.  Its hours of operations are from 4:00-9:00 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  On Wednesdays and Fridays it is open from 1:00-9:00 pm.   The Resource Centre is operated through funding from the United Way of Greater Simcoe County.
