Look who is carrying the Pan Am Torch through Barrie

by Dena Wilson | Jul 09, 2015
On Wednesday June 10th, Denis Lajoie had the honour of being a Torch Bearer for the 2015 Pan Am Games.
He was nominated for this honour by the Bingo Hall due to his outstanding volunteer work.  Denis volunteers for three different charities, and is also an outstanding athlete.  Denis ran from 16 Blake Street to 200 Collier Street in Barrie before passing the torch on to another bearer.  Congratulations to Denis for his achievement.  This was a proud moment for Denis and his family, and an accomplishment that he will not soon forget!

Simcoe Community Services is very proud of our own Denis Lajoie, a committed volunteer in our community.   All of your friends and colleagues at SCS congratulate you Denis on this significant achievement in your life. This is a true testament to the power of inclusion. You are an inspiration to us all.
